Turcite – Molded Products (Rods, Tubes & Sheets) & Skived Sheets
Turcite is a PolyTetraFluoroEthylene (PTFE) based bearing material with low friction, used mainly for the machine tool industry linear bearing applications. It provides low friction, stick-slip free operation, long life and minimum wear. Turcite is a dimensionally stable, maintenance free and can be operated with or without lubrication.
Turcite being a PTFE based material is non-stick and hence it requires sodium etching on one side of the sheet, which makes it possible to stick to a surface easily.
Some of the common applications of Turcite material are bearing, sleeves, rollers, thrust washers, maintenance of machinery, and even gears sometimes.
