Acrylic / PolyMethylMethaAcrylate (PMMA)
ABS – Acrylinitrile Butadiene Styrene
General purpose ABS is a rigid thermoplastic with a combination of properties that make it an ideal plastic for a wide range of applications: - spacers, rollers, prototypes, and structural components.
ABS has good thermal and dimensional stability and a high impact strength, which also sustains at a low temperature. ABS is strong and shows great scratch resistance. It is widely used for machining pre-production prototypes since it has excellent dimensional stability and it is easy to paint and glue.
ABS components have an operating temperature from -50° C up to +70° C.
We stock ABS in various stock shapes such as solid plain sheets and solid rods. We can also customize components in ABS based on technical drawings.
Properties:
- Very high impact strength
- Excellent high and low temperature performance
- Resistant to many chemicals and plasticizers
- Excellent ductility
- Lends itself to dielectric welding
- Outstanding formability
- High tensile strength and stiffness

Acrylic / PolyMethylMethaAcrylate (PMMA)
PolyMethylMethaAcrylate or more commonly known as Acrylic is a transparent thermoplastic material with outstanding strength, stiffness and optical clarity. Acrylic is a useful plastic for applications that require transparency where high impact resistance is not required. Acrylic is scratch resistant compared to other plastics & it is a lighter alternative to glass and an economic substitute for Polycarbonate.
Acrylic is easy to fabricate and bonds well when using the appropriate adhesives and solvents.
We can also supply acrylic components that need to be cut into extremely fine / small shapes using our in-house laser cutting technology; as the concentrated laser energy helps vaporize the material upon impact.
Some common applications of acrylic components are optical lenses, structural and support members for solar concentrating collectors, piping, reflecting surfaces, cabinets and display frames.
We stock Acrylic in various stock shapes such as solid plain sheets, round rods, square bars and circular pipes. We also supply acrylic sheets in colours such as red, black, blue,
